The Little Butterfly Company is new, but our passion for helping raise happy, healthy and confident children has existed for decades.
Children face many challenges growing up. Some of these are not new – they have been around for a long time. Other challenges develop as a result of events occurring at home or in the local, national or global community.
We help support those who are supporting the children. This includes parents, family members and friends, carers and teachers. The way we help, is by creating wonderful books that tell stories with helpful messages.
Our first book The Butterflies Who Were Afraid, was featured on Channel 7’s Sunrise program. With stunning illustrations and a powerful message, this book helps children learn how to manage feelings of anxiety. It provides the children and adults with a unique way of discussing anxiety in a safe way, without attaching stigma to any part of the discussion.
Other books deal with self-confidence; sickness (and the need to remain at home) and the loss of someone close to the child. Our books feature butterflies who have their own names, personalities and characteristics. Each book allows the child to adopt a new view of the challenge they are faced with. This new perspective empowers the child to respond in a healthy way. As children develop the mindset and skill set to respond to challenges in a healthy and safe way, they are better positioned to feel happier and more confident.

About Sean
Co-Founder of The Little Butterfly Company
Sean joined the Royal Australian Air Force having just turned seventeen. His father had once owned a flying school and his older sister was a trained pilot, so it was inevitable that one day he would fly.
But just a few years later, Sean witnessed an event on an Air Force base which triggered his first panic attack. With no mental health history personally of within his family, the initial attack shocked him.
Within 18-months, Sean had been discharged from the Air Force, lost his pilot’s license and was struggling mentally to leave his home without experiencing another panic attack. After leaving the RAAF, Sean began searching for the solution that could help him. This was a 20 year journey, and in 2007, he created a system that worked for him.
After struggling with panic attacks, anxiety and depression for more than 2 decades, Sean won the battle. He hasn’t had a panick attack since.
Sean’s lived experience has equipped him with unique skills, knowledge and insights. He is often referred to as one of the most inspiring speakers around today. He is also a highly trained and experienced coaches in Australia.
He uses his experience to help individuals, families, teams and businesses to achieve better results – results that are healthy and helpful.
